Created by: Alex Smith

Alexander the Great was one of the greatest military minds every to grace the earth. He took a Macedonian army of around 40,000 all the way to India through Greece and Persia.

His army was composed of horsemen on the flanks, Cretan Archers, and the center was formed by the phalanx soliers. The phalanx soldiers were the most well trained and powerful force the world had at the time.

Because of his desire to conquer the known world, he permenantly crippled the Persian empire, connected the cultures of India and Greece, and went down in the history books forever. He made Greek culture the main culture in the world and inspired another great leader, Julius Caesar.
